About Georja
Through the challenging parts of school and with the guidance of tutors of my own, I was able to succeed in my studies, earning proficiency awards throughout high school and graduating with honors. I am now a full-time post-secondary student at the University of Guelph majoring in child studies, and I am working towards becoming an elementary teacher. I have a passion for making every child feel included, capable, and smart! Through my high school co-op working in a kindergarten classroom, I learned that no two children are the same, or need the same kind of support. I am able to cater certain strategies to each child in a way that is specific to their success. I offer positive feedback, flexible problem solving, and words of affirmation for each child. During my time in the classroom, I was told numerous times that I was more efficient than many post-secondary graduates that had previously assisted in the classroom. I pride myself on this, and believe I am extremely capable of providing excellent academic assistance for students!

As a student with ADHD, I understand how difficult and overwhelming school work can be! I have experienced my fair share of doubts and anxieties throughout my studies, and felt like it was all so impossible to succeed. I know first-hand how important it is to have even one educator or tutor who relates to your struggles, and has the ability to help in a way that benefits YOU! I care deeply about supporting kids who feel exactly how I did, and helping them achieve greatness and proficiency in their studies!
