About Andrea
Hello, I am Andrea, a postdoctoral researcher based in London with a PhD in Applied Physics and a Master’s degree in Pure Mathematics. I offer high-level tuition and research support for Master’s students, PhD students, and advanced university students working on mathematically demanding problems.
My expertise combines mathematics, physics, applied physics in engineering, and scientific computing. In particular, I help students who need more than standard tutoring: students who want to improve the mathematical structure of their models, make their simulations more efficient, and write significantly better research code in MATLAB and Python.
In my own research, I have developed advanced mathematical approximations and efficient surrogate models to reduce computational cost dramatically while maintaining very high accuracy. I have also written fast, scalable numerical code using vectorisation, parallelisation, and GPU-based methods. This means I can help students not only understand difficult theory, but also implement it in a rigorous and computationally efficient way.
My teaching is highly personalised, rigorous, and results-driven. I work with students who want serious improvement and a level of support that is difficult to find through standard tutoring platforms.

My lessons are highly personalised and designed for students who want more than standard tutoring. I work mainly with university, Master’s, and PhD students, as well as undergraduates who are looking for a higher level of depth, clarity, and technical support.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals. Depending on their needs, I can help with advanced mathematics, physics, applied modelling, exam preparation, coursework, research projects, or scientific programming in MATLAB and Python. I am also well suited to students who want to strengthen not only their theoretical understanding, but also the quality and efficiency of their computational work.
For students working on demanding quantitative problems, I can provide support with mathematical approximations, model simplification, numerical methods, and the development of efficient code. This includes guidance on vectorisation, parallelisation, and writing cleaner, faster, and more reliable implementations for research-level applications.
I teach both online and in person. At the start, I assess the student’s level, identify the key conceptual or technical bottlenecks, and define a clear plan for improvement. My teaching style is patient, rigorous, and results-oriented. The aim is not only to solve the problem at hand, but to help the student become more independent, more technically confident, and more effective in their own work.
