About Utkarsh
Hi, I'm Utkarsh. I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Ottawa and the National Research Council of Canada, working in Quantum Machine Learning. I completed my PhD in Physics and have several years of experience teaching, tutoring, and mentoring students across different academic levels.
As a Teaching Assistant at uOttawa and a private tutor, I have consistently received excellent feedback for my ability to explain challenging concepts in a clear and intuitive way. Beyond teaching, I have mentored graduate students throughout my research career and currently supervise and guide students on research projects in quantum computing and machine learning.
I enjoy helping students build confidence, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and develop a deep understanding of the subject rather than simply memorizing formulas. Whether your goal is to improve grades, prepare for exams, or explore advanced topics, I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where questions are always encouraged.

Hey, Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher. Over the years, I have taught and mentored students from high school to graduate level (as a Teaching Assistant at uOttawa) in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, and Quantum Computing.
My teaching philosophy is simple: understanding comes before memorization. I focus on building intuition first and then developing problem-solving skills. Many students struggle because they learn formulas without understanding the ideas behind them. My goal is to make complex topics easy to understand through clear explanations, real-world examples, visual intuition, and guided practice.
A typical lesson begins with identifying the student's current level and specific challenges. We then work through concepts step-by-step, solve problems together, and finish with strategies that help the student tackle similar questions independently.
I can help students prepare for exams, improve grades, strengthen fundamentals, complete assignments, or explore advanced topics beyond the classroom. Whether you are struggling with high school mathematics, university physics, statistics, calculus, linear algebra, machine learning, or quantum computing, I tailor every lesson to your goals and learning style.
My students appreciate that I combine academic expertise with practical research experience, helping them understand not only how concepts work, but also why they matter in the real world.
