About Taru
Hello! I’m Taru, a psychology educator who believes that learning should be a space where every student feels seen, respected, and comfortable expressing their ideas. Psychology, at its core, is about understanding human experiences in all their diversity, and I try to bring that spirit of openness and empathy into my teaching. My academic training in psychology has helped me develop ways of explaining complex concepts in clear, relatable, and accessible ways. I enjoy connecting psychological theories with everyday experiences so that students from different backgrounds can find meaning and relevance in what they learn. I strive to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where curiosity is encouraged, questions are welcomed, and different perspectives are valued. Every learner comes with their own pace, style, and way of thinking, and I try to adapt my teaching to meet students where they are. For me, teaching psychology is not only about helping students perform well academically but also about helping them develop a deeper understanding of people, relationships, and themselves.

I focus on helping students build clear concepts, think critically, and connect psychological theories with real-life experiences. Psychology becomes much easier and more interesting when you can see how it applies to everyday behaviour, relationships, and decision-making. My teaching style is interactive and student-centred. Instead of one-way lectures, I encourage discussion, questions, and active participation so that you feel comfortable exploring ideas and developing your own understanding of the subject. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my sessions to your pace, learning style, and academic goals.
