About Qing
I had taught Chinese as a second language in China for approximately ten years before moving to Sydney to pursue a Master's degree in Translation and Interpreting in January 2024. In 2025, I make a further move to Melbourne to continue my studies at the University of Melbourne.
I am always filled with passion and curiosity to observe, compare, and share views on cultural and linguistic similarities and differences between English and Chinese. My journey of learning English and Japanese has been a valuable asset in teaching my own language to others.
In 2024, I taught Chinese professionally at Motai Mandarin in Sydney. I cannot wait to meet and teach more students in Melbourne this year:)

I am a CTCSOL certified teacher. I teach in a biligual setting for entry to intermediate level learners and in a monolingual setting for upper-intermediate to advanced level students. I don't only teach you what the language is, but also why it is the way it is. My goal is to help you build your Chinese fluency step by step. I will be more than happy to exchange thoughts with you about the cultural references as well, as I believe culture plays a profound role in shaping language.
