About Alexandra
Hi, I’m Alexandra! I’m a native Russian speaker, raised in Moscow and now studying at Macquarie University in Sydney.
I love Russian and want to share this beautiful, expressive language with others. Having learned English myself, I know how frustrating it can feel when you have something to say but can’t quite find the words.
My goal is to create a friendly, supportive space where you can take your time, ask questions and make mistakes without feeling judged. I’d love to help you feel more confident speaking Russian and enjoy the conversations we have along the way!

My lessons are all about helping you feel more confident speaking Russian and enjoying the conversation along the way!
We’ll choose topics that interest you, discuss everyday life, and watch short videos for you to summarize and share your thoughts on. We’ll also practice speaking for 30 seconds or a minute on a topic, helping you get comfortable expressing yourself without relying on questions from me.
I’ll help with pronunciation, unfamiliar words and mistakes as they come up. Homework will be light and relevant to you: revisiting vocabulary or mistakes from our conversation, or reading a short text to discuss next time.
I’m a native Russian speaker and have tutored more than six students in English and Russian. While I’m not a formally qualified teacher, I offer a patient, friendly space where you can practice without feeling embarrassed about making mistakes.
Sessions last 30 or 60 minutes. All ages and levels are welcome, and I’ll adapt our conversations and activities to your interests and how much Russian you already know.
