About Naomi
Throughout high school, I have been a straight A+ English student. I helped my peers edit and revise their college application essays and supplementals. I worked as an English tutor for a Ukrainian student over Zoom. I scored a 5 on both AP Literature and AP Language and Composition tests. I had a 4.05 high school GPA and was an active member of National English Honor Society. I was Editor-in-Chief of the Glen Echo newspaper at my high school. Above all else, I love reading and writing and am immensely passionate to help foster that same love in others.

I am able to work with individuals that have all kinds of learning styles. I really want to get to know my student and get them excited about English! I can teach many different students- whether it is helping elementary schoolers gain leverage over their peers and strengthen their spelling and grammar skills, or helping middle-schoolers or high-schoolers expand their essay writing abilities. I also have experience teaching English to individuals who are just learning English and have a base in the language but want to grow stronger in areas of reading, writing, and advanced conversation. My teaching method can be extremely adaptive and catered to many different types of students. My lessons plans revolve depending on age group, skill level, and interests. For example, with an elementary schooler interested in sports, I would gear my lessons towards an active activity, perhaps throwing around a ball for our spelling game. I'm willing to get creative!
