My goal is to make learning math both fun and effective for all students. I start by asking students about their prior experience with the material so I can structure the session to best tailor to their needs. Then, instead of diving straight into lectures, I begin with a brief problem from the topic—because I believe mastery comes from experience and curiosity, not just words. After that, I teach the concepts in a way that helps students truly understand them. I don’t just blurt out steps; I explain why each step is done and ask students to suggest the next step themselves, which again goes with my philosophy that a concept is best understood through practice and curiosity. Once a concept is understood, I give students a problem and have them guide me through why each step is done how it is. I also encourage creative and effective approaches to problem-solving, helping students think beyond standard methods and numbers. This approach is what sets me apart as a tutor. I offer lessons for anyone looking to learn math, from elementary concepts up to Algebra 2.
