About Magnus
Helping students become confident and expressive trumpet players is the most rewarding part of my teaching career. I believe that successful learning depends on creating a positive relationship built on trust, encouragement, and mutual respect.
My lessons are individually tailored to each student's goals and focus on developing excellent technical foundations alongside creativity and musical interpretation.
Students learn breathing techniques, posture, embouchure development, articulation, rhythm, scales, tone production, note reading, flexibility, endurance, range development, dynamics, sight reading, orchestral performance, jazz improvisation, ensemble playing, and solo repertoire while building confidence through practical performance experience. I am committed to helping every student achieve their highest musical potential.

I believe that every student can achieve success with personalised instruction and consistent practice. My trumpet lessons emphasise proper technique, musical understanding, and confident performance through carefully structured sessions.
Students learn posture, breathing, embouchure, articulation, rhythm, scales, tone production, note reading, and music theory before advancing to flexibility training, endurance, range development, phrasing, dynamics, ear training, sight reading, and musical interpretation.
Advanced instruction includes orchestral repertoire, jazz improvisation, solo literature, ensemble performance, recital preparation, and advanced tonguing techniques. My supportive teaching approach helps students overcome challenges while building confidence and lasting musical skills.
