About Darla
I have been teaching for 25 years in the public school system. I have also taught children and adults about basketmaking and other crafts. I am a 4-Her and have received the highest award of All-Star. I received a Golden Horseshoe Award for helping a special needs child be placed in a regular education classroom due to the adaptations I made.

Elementary students who are falling behind due to ADHD, Autism, learning difficulties or just delayed can benefit from instruction that goes back to the basics to learn the phonetic awareness needed to be a reader. Classes can be taught to adults on how to make baskets using reed. Making a journal can be fun and beneficial to write down the feelings. I can show you how to make a journal.
