About Madison
I am a preschool teacher with 8 years of experience working with English Language Learners and Multi-Lingual populations. I am currently getting my Master's degree in urban education, with a focus on serving ELL students. As an avid traveler who has engaged in a number of solo adventures, I pride myself on my adaptability through challenges and ability to meet the needs of incredibly diverse individuals. Becoming the teacher that each individual student needs to thrive is one of the most rewarding experiences for me. I believe deeply that digital learning does not have to be impersonal. I am excited to get to know your child and your family and teach to their unique strengths and abilities! _________________________________________________________________ Soy maestra de preescolar con 8 años de experiencia trabajando con estudiantes de inglés como segundo idioma y poblaciones multilingües. Actualmente estoy cursando una maestría en educación urbana, con especialización en estudiantes de inglés como segundo idioma. Como viajera apasionada que ha participado en varias aventuras en solitario, me enorgullezco de mi capacidad de adaptación ante los desafíos y de satisfacer las necesidades de personas increíblemente diversas. I understand that learning is a deeply personal experience. My lessons will be guided by what I know about your child's unique interests and learning style, beginning with initial and ongoing assessment to measure your child's progress in English Language Acquisition. I understand that an engaged child is a child that's learning. I ask for students to actively engage in lessons through games, call and response, and interactive storytelling. This ensures that my students are cognitively participating in their learning! My lessons are optimized for young children, ages 3-10. I am able to accommodate a range of ability levels, whether this is your first lesson or just looking for help with articulation and pronunciation. It is important to me that parents are invested in the learning process. As such, I will provide lesson reports on how your child's English is progressing. Mis clases se guiarán por lo que sé sobre los intereses y el estilo de aprendizaje únicos de su hijo/a, comenzando con una evaluación inicial y continua para medir su progreso en la adquisición del inglés.
