About Rachelle
I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's in Educational Administration and Supervision. My teaching experience spans over 13 years in grades 1 through 5 in a public school setting. I have led several teaching teams that I have worked with in the area of math, planning and aligning activities and assessments to Common Core standards and students' ability levels. I look forward to working with you and your child to help build confidence in math!

As an elementary education specialist, my lessons target students in grades 1 through 4 looking for support with homework or specific mathematical skills. A typical math lesson would start with fluency practice in addition or multiplication as these are one of the foundations of problem solving. The rest of the time will be spent on the specific skills that we have decided on together based on the work you bring (homework, etc.) or skills I have observed to be an area of need. My teaching is grounded in visual representations through drawing models and relating to real life as much as possible.
