About Khalid
Hello, I'm Khalid, a dedicated Mathematics, Science, and ICT teacher with over five years of classroom experience in Kampala. I have taught pupils from primary to O-Level, and I served as a P.7 class teacher, so I know how to explain difficult topics in a way that students truly understand. I am patient, organised and reliable, and I take pride in helping learners gain confidence as well as better grades. My Software Engineering studies at Makerere University, along with my practical ICT experience, help me make technology lessons clear and hands-on. Every lesson is planned around the student's needs, with regular feedback for both students and parents. I would be glad to help your child reach their full potential.

I'm a practising classroom teacher, so I know exactly what the syllabus asks and where students usually lose marks. Every lesson starts with finding out what you already understand and where the gaps are. I then explain each topic step by step, using simple language and real-life examples. Next we work through examples together, and then you try similar questions on your own while I guide you. For maths and sciences, I focus on method, not memorising. Students learn how to set out working, show steps clearly, and avoid common mistakes, which is where exam marks are won. For ICT, lessons are practical and hands-on. For UCE candidates, we practise past-paper questions and learn how examiners expect answers. I give regular feedback and short practice tasks between lessons so progress continues outside the lesson.
Typical length of a lesson
Lessons are usually 60 minutes. For exam revision or a heavy topic, we can do 90 minutes. I'm happy to adjust the length and schedule to what suits you.
Qualifications and experience
I'm a teacher of mathematics, sciences, and ICT at both primary and O-level, with 5 years of teaching experience. I also have a background in software engineering, which helps me practically teach ICT and logical problem-solving.
