About Jemma
Hi, I'm Jemma! I am currently studying Primary Education at university and working towards becoming a primary school teacher.
Whether you need help with reading, spelling, writing or phonics, I will make sure our lessons are fun, supportive and tailored to you.
There is no such thing as a silly question in my lessons! My aim is to help you feel confident, celebrate your achievements and enjoy learning. Together, we will work at your pace and find the best ways to help you succeed.

Hello! My name is Jemma and I am currently studying Primary Education at university, where I am developing the skills and knowledge needed to become a qualified primary school teacher.
I offer supportive and engaging tutoring for Primary aged children in key stage 1 and key stage 2 in English, reading and phonics. My lessons are tailored to each child's individual needs, helping them build confidence while making learning enjoyable. I use a variety of teaching methods, including interactive activities, questioning, retrieval practice and positive encouragement to ensure pupils remain motivated and make progress.
Through my university placement, I have gained experience working with children across a range of ages and abilities, adapting lessons to suit different learning styles and needs.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are adapted to the pupil's learning goals and pace. Whether your child needs help with homework, catching up, boosting confidence or preparation for assessments such as SATs, I aim to create a calm and encouraging environment where they can thrive and reach their full potential.
