About Silvija
I am a primary school teacher with an English specialisation. I am qualified to teach children from years one to six but I can tutor almost anyone. I have taught early childhood, students with learning disabilities and difficulties, ESL/D learners and even international students.

My personal approach to teaching is to ensure that the content is relatable to the students and my instructions are scaffolded clearly. I believe that students learn best when they trust you and feel supported. All children have different learning abilities and learn at different paces. By setting achievable short and long term goals and reflecting after each lesson, students will receive regular feedback and will show a steady improvement in their academic results.
All lessons will be adjusted to meet the needs of each student with the condition that students are willing to try their best and learn from their mistakes with a positive mindset and attitude.
My flexible teaching approach has allowed me to teach various ability levels and ages but I am qualified to teach children up to Year 6. My lessons are normally between 1-2 hours depending on the content and availability. I am happy to assist students above Year 6 and adults with assignments, marking or any other homework they may have.
