About Matthew
I am a social studies teacher at a private school with eight years experience and a Master’s degree in secondary education, as well as a PA Instructional-I social studies certification. I’ve worked at two private schools, and developed and taught a variety of college preparatory and honors courses, as well as assisted with various AP courses.

I try to make history and other social studies topics relatable to modern students by using allegorical examples and comparisons to the modern day. Humans love stories; it’s how we’ve communicated our past and legends for thousands of years; as such, using stories to help convey information from one generation of learners to the next is part of the backbone of my teaching strategy.
