About Christos
I’m a teacher and I have been in academia for nearly 15 years. I have taught at the middle school, high school, and college levels during this time and I have tutored students in both high school IB chemistry and college general chemistry courses during that time. I work remotely all the time for my consulting business, and thus I’m very efficient when tutoring online. Furthermore, I keep an open communication channel and can answer questions before and after a tutoring session if you encounter any questions about the topics we covered. From experience, regular weekly sessions are more effective than short time bursts before assessments, but we can talk and find what works best for you or your student. Small group sessions are a possibility if you can arrange it on your end to help you a little with the cost. I look forward to hearing from you about all your chemistry needs.

If you want to learn chemistry the right way, using simple step-by-step methods, and everyday analogies to help you understand and visualize concepts, then I’m your tutor. If you’re into memorizing as your main method, this will never be enough for chemistry, which is why you need me to teach you chemistry using a proven step-by-step methodology I have been using for years. I also make analogies to everyday things you know and have experienced, to help you relate and visualize difficult concepts. I have written tons of tests and have reviewed multiple different books from various authors and publishers. All this experience will also be valuable to you as you prepare for your tests. I have taught college for over 10 years, typically teaching general chemistry courses. I also have 5 years of experience teaching and tutoring IB chemistry and middle school science. I can work with gifted students, as well as students with disabilities. I am fluent/native level in English and Greek. Even though I am located on the east coast of the US, I regularly offer weekend hours and evening sessions to fit your schedule. Don’t hesitate to reach out and ask to schedule a session. Dr. L is an amazing a caring teacher and tutor. What I love about his method is that he ties the concepts together with analogies and tangible everyday life do it sticks in your brain. Pricing: Discounts for regularly scheduled sessions. Prices may be higher for short-term engagements, like only around tests. 25% discount for every additional student in a group. Maximum of 4 students per group. Sibling discounts are also available and incentives for recommending me to other students who sign up for lessons. Format: In person in the Jacksonville area, online (nationwide), weekend/night sessions (worldwide), or a combination of both (some in person and some online sessions as needed). Location: I can travel within the Jacksonville area. Additional fees may apply for longer distances. Some scheduling flexibility is expected for traffic situations, especially in highly congested areas during rush hour. I can also meet in public places, such as a coffee shop, a library, college campus, office building convenient to you etc.
