About Isobel
After graduating with a 1st Class Honours and gaining a Supported Artist scholarship in Theatre and Performance Practice at Salford University, i have worked consistently in my career as an Acting Teacher, Actor and Writer. In the last few months, my students have gone on to begin training at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and secured professional TV and Theatre work. I have worked as a community theatre workshop leader at Contact Theatre and as an Acting Teacher at Footlights, Manchester and at Quinipet Retreat Centre, NY USA.
I have written and produced my own play which debuted at Unity Theatre earlier this year and since have written two short plays, produced by Hive North and Finger Food Shorts.

My lessons are based on the personal needs and experience of each student. Every student will receive a free half-hour consultation so i can get to know you and plan our lessons effectively and productively.
With my experience in teaching Acting in theatre school's in the UK and USA to students ages 7-18, i mainly specialise in preparing and helping people with audition pieces and to get into drama school . Lessons will be mostly practical and my belief is that every Actor should understand what they can offer personally in order to succeed. I personally enjoy the methodologies of Stanislavski and Meisner and have developed my own strategy based on their practices.
With my experience in being a professionally commissioned and funded Playwright, i can also offer lessons in this field. Offering playwriting lessons, discussing areas such as Character development, Theme, Plot and structure. Also discovering who you are as a writer.
