Learn to Draw Portraits and Landscapes
Below you’ll find an overview of my two courses: Portrait Drawing and Landscape Drawing.
These are flexible outlines designed to guide your learning. Each lesson is one hour long and tailored to your individual pace, goals, and interests.
PORTRAIT DRAWING PROGRAM
Lesson 1: Sketching Fundamentals
Learn the basics of light, form, and shading. Practice layering and blending to create depth and realistic dimension.
Lessons 2–4: Facial Features
Focus on one feature per class: eyes, nose, mouth, and ears.
Learn proportion, structure, and tone while drawing from photo references.
Lesson 5: Hair and Texture
Study techniques for straight, wavy, curly, and afro hair types. Practice directional strokes and layering for natural texture.
Lessons 6–8: Final Portrait Project
Bring everything together in a complete portrait of your choice.
We’ll go step by step through:
Outlining and structure
Facial details and features
Hair, clothing, and finishing touches
By the end, you’ll have a polished portrait and a strong grasp of colour pencil technique.
LANDSCAPE DRAWING PROGRAM
Lesson 1: Introduction to Colour Pencils and Materials
Learn about tools, paper types, and layering methods. Practice blending and creating smooth gradients.
Lessons 2–3: Elements of Nature
Draw trees, skies, water, and grass. Learn how light and direction affect colour and texture.
Lessons 4–6: Building Landscapes
Create two complete scenes, one natural and one urban or stylized. Explore composition, perspective, and tonal contrast.
Lesson 7: Mood and Depth
Learn to create atmosphere and distance through shading, contrast, and colour harmony.
Lesson 8: Final Landscape Project
Design and complete your own full landscape from photo reference or imagination — applying everything you’ve learned.

The lesson was genuinely inspiring. The pace felt natural and there was plenty of space to experiment and ask questions. I appreciated how the instructor explained not just how to draw, but why certain techniques work. It felt engaging, and motivating!
I’ve learned so much in a short time. The lessons are clear, inspiring, and push me to see and draw in new ways. Highly recommend for anyone serious about improving their art.
Perfect! She is an incredibly helpful tutor, how gives not just great solutions but advice to improve your knowledge overall. Very relaxed and understanding in his field of expertise.
My 12-year-old has been taking art classes for a few months now, and it’s been amazing to see how much he’s grown. He’s always loved to draw, but now he’s starting to really think about composition, color, and detail in a new way. The instructor has a great balance of guidance and freedom helping him improve without taking the joy out of creating. Every week he comes home proud of what he’s made and eager to learn more. It’s been a wonderful experience all around.
I’ve been learning with her for about 2 months, and she’s made a huge impact on how I see art and honestly, how I see myself as a creative person. I’ve always had a day job and treated art as something just out of reach. She changed that. Her knowledge runs deep, but what stands out more is how she helps you slow down and see things. She’s patient, grounded, and knows when to push and when to let you breathe. I leave every session feeling challenged in the best way. I’m grateful to be learning from her and plan to keep at it for a long time.

Details
Online lessons are $45 per hour, and in-person sessions are $55 per hour.
Prices cover lesson time and personalized guidance, but materials are not included. Students can use their own supplies, and I’m happy to recommend what to get based on skill level and goals.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
I like keeping things simple and respectful. If something happens, just reach out. I’ll always try to meet you halfway :)
Cancellations
Life happens. If you can’t make it to a lesson, please let me know at least 24 hours beforehand. I’m flexible, but I can only adjust if I know what’s going on.
Running Late
We all have those days. I’ll wait up to 15 minutes after our start time. Beyond that, without prior notice, the session will be marked as a no-show and no refund will apply.
Confirmations
A quick “yes, see you then” a few hours before class helps me plan my day. No confirmation = no class that day. Simple as that.
Supplies
Materials aren’t included in the lesson fee. Don’t worry, though, I usually ask for affordable, easy-to-find items, and if you already have some at home, we’ll make them work.
