About Yasmin
*I have worked as an artist for over 20 years having exhibited in locations across London as well as appeared on Sky TV and worked with a London arts festival. I would like to share my experience and knowledge with those who are beginning their artistic journey and those who are more experienced in need of friendly guidance to move forward. If you have a project that you are working on I am also happy to support you and offer perspective.
*I regularly attend drawing and painting classes myself as I feel it is important to continue your practice with your peers by your side. So much is learned by looking at someone else’s work! For that reason I will draw and paint alongside you!
*I have previously attended courses at the Royal Drawing School, Heatherleys and Putney School of Art and Design.
*I completed an Art Foundation at Oxford Brookes University.

Lessons are entirely based on the outcome you would like to achieve. Lessons will typically be between 1-2 hours, ideally at a museum or gallery.
If you are a beginner we will start with drawing and progress with different mediums so that you become comfortable with different materials (pencil, charcoal, graphite, pastels)
This will help you find your preferred medium but also help you realise how each medium instructs your drawing approach!
In due course, should you wish and when you feel ready we can move forward with oil paints, acrylics, watercolour and gouache.
As we explore the mediums I will help you achieve an understanding of colour theory and the various practices of artists from the past!
