About Florian
As a PhD student with the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology, I am eager to share my insights from the frontier of technological research with my students. My curriculum consists of three phases. First, the student and I will rehearse and analyse familiar concepts from previous education. This doesn't not only help the student recap existing knowledge but also correct any misunderstandings that might have occurred in the past. A solid foundation is essential for understanding.
In later lessons, existing material will be expanded upon using real-life science and current research of appropriate difficulty. Science is something that is not limited to textbooks and classrooms, but something that impacts us and the world around us every day. Learning about the power of science is essential to incite interest and even passion in students.
Lastly, shortly before exams, revision, problem sessions, and discussions are meant to prepare students for upcoming exams and tests.
I strongly believe that anyone can understand science with a solid foundation, and the confidence that even current research is not beyond their grasp.
