About Anthony
Hello! I am a dedicated and highly qualified Mandarin tutor with a Master's degree in English Literature. My academic background has provided me with a profound, structural understanding of the language, from its intricate grammar and tonal system to the historical evolution of its characters. I don't just teach you phrases; I equip you with the knowledge to understand how the language works, enabling true mastery and confidence. Furthermore, having pursued my higher education in the UK and resided here for over 25 years, I possess a unique dual perspective. I am intimately familiar with the specific challenges and common points of confusion that native English speakers encounter. This allows me to act as a cultural and linguistic bridge, offering clear, relatable explanations that demystify complex concepts and accelerate your learning. My approach is professional, structured, and tailored. I am passionate about guiding students—whether for HSK exams, business proficiency, or conversational fluency—toward their goals with precision and expertise.
