As a tutor, my approach is student-centered, adaptive, and focused on building both competence and confidence in English. I begin by assessing each student’s current skill level, goals, and learning style to tailor our sessions to their needs. Whether we’re working on essay writing, grammar, reading comprehension, or verbal expression, I create a supportive environment that encourages active participation and consistent progress.
My teaching method combines structured guidance with interactive learning. I use a mix of direct instruction, discussion, practice exercises, and real-life applications to ensure the student truly understands the material rather than just memorizing it. I often incorporate tools like graphic organizers, literary excerpts, writing prompts, or grammar games to keep lessons engaging and effective.
A typical lesson starts with a brief review of previous material, followed by the introduction of new concepts or skills. We then practice those skills through guided exercises, and finish with a reflective or independent activity that reinforces the lesson. Homework or optional challenges are provided to help reinforce learning between sessions.
