About Darlene
I am a professional film, television, and stage actress with more than 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry and a lifetime member of The Actors Studio. My television and film credits include Power, Star Trek, How I Met Your Mother, Ugly Betty, Criminal Minds, All My Children, and Girl You Know It’s True, among others. I have worked across drama, comedy, television, film, and theater, giving me firsthand experience of what actors face both in the audition room and on professional sets. As a coach and mentor, I bring that real-world experience to my students with honesty, encouragement, and practical guidance, helping them develop not only as actors but as confident, resilient artists prepared for the realities of the industry.

My coaching is tailored to each actor and where they are in their development. I work one-on-one on on-camera auditions, self-tapes, scene study, script and character analysis, monologues, and college theater auditions. My approach focuses on truthful, grounded performances and helping actors trust their instincts rather than simply trying to “perform.” For students pursuing college theater programs, I also provide mentorship and guidance throughout the audition process. Beyond technique, I help actors understand the realities of the professional industry, build confidence and resilience, and develop the skills needed to navigate auditions and rejection while continuing to grow as an artist.
