About Lucias
I am a dedicated individual looking for greener pastures, I was previously employed by the Department of Civilian Secretariat for Police Service as an Intern in the Human resource management unit. I was appointed for a period of 18 months with effect from 5 September 2016 to 28 February 2018 so far I have been exposed to the Training and Development field and The Human Resources field. In the Human resources field (conditions of service) I have dealt with leave applications, Filing of the leave and auditing of leave I also do filing of relevant documents in the SP files and the PMDS files. Welcoming of new appointees and inducting them to the organization. I also write submissions to request approval from the head of the Department, recording of incoming and outgoing documents in the office. Ensuring that new and exit employees sign and fill up necessary documents. Handle enquiries relating to HR matters. I also do the appointment of new employees on the PERSAL system and also transfers of employees.
In the Training and Development, I have dealt with the Coordination of training for employees according to their training needs. Draft submission to seek approval from the Head of the department to approve training. To liaise with service providers about training dates and making follow up about certificates of completed short courses. I also dealt with allocation of bursaries for qualifying internal employees, compiling of payments for service providers after training, record keeping of evidence. I hold the N6 Human Resources Management certificate. I am currently waiting for my National Diploma to be issued by the Department of Education as I submitted necessary document after completing my 18 months training. I did the following subjects: Personnel management, Personnel training, Computer practice, Labour relations, Management Communication, Entrepreneurship and Business Management. I believe that i can make a positive contribution to your organization. I enjoy my work and i am willing to pursue new opportunities as i am currently on contract. I have computer skills; I can manage people and handle negative attitude. I work better under pressure. I will prove myself if i am given a chance to be part of your organization.
