About Alessandro
Hi, my name is Alessandro. I am 38 years old and a professional Pizza maker and chef. Check out my Instagram account where I mainly show my sourdough bread journey on Instagram @sourly.
My first job was as a barista in a busy bar in Rome where I learnt how to make the best lattes ever, I then started to work in a pizzeria where we use to serve from pizzas to pasta and traditional Roman and Sicilian food. I then move to Ireland, working 4 years as a sous and head chef learning many different styles of cuisine. I live in Bristol now working as a head pizza chef for over 5 years.
Apart from pizzas and sourdough bread, I can teach: traditional Italian (including fresh pasta and gnocchi), French cuisine, traditional Spanish, Indian curries, bread making and desserts.

My aim is helping people learn the basics techniques and understanding behind food and cooking that will help them not just follow a recipe but to be able to create their own and gain confidence in the kitchen.

Everyone learns differently. My approach is to first try to find the best way for you to learn and then just getting on with it. I am very passionate about what I do and that helps my students to get excited and wanting to learn more and more! I love to explain what I do and why I do it and my students find this extremely helpful!
