About Afnan
As we teach:
1) We obtain a deeper understanding
Before we teach other people, we need to do a certain amount of research and planning. Whether we are preparing presentation slides or lecture notes, we end up finding out more information about the topic that we are teaching through our research and thus gain a better understanding.
2) We build credibility
Two people might have the same understanding or skill level on a specific field, but other people consider the one who teaches an expert in the field. The more we teach, the more of an expert we become in other people's eyes. This is because through sharing knowledge, one increases influence and credibility. It helps position us as an expert in the field.
3) We integreate knowledge, empowers the students to own their ideas, and helps them connect to contexts. The act of sharing keeps the learning alive and relevant and encourages future growth.
It improves the quality of education and learning being offered in institutes.

5) It helps students achieve greater results.
6) It gives teachers more confidence, which, in turn, helps them perform better.

As a teacher I ,
1) involve students in making sense of natural events and the scienctific ideas underlying them. In other words, i actively engage students in wondering and figuring out science phenomena around them and how they happen which help students develop exploratory questions and hypotheses to explain such events, and encourage them to test and refine their explanations based on scientific evidence.
2) Am patient and approachable. They say that 'patience is a virtue', and this couldn't be more true for teachers.
3) Am enthusiastic.
4) Have Strong communication skills.
5) Strong knowledge and a solid education.
6) Disciplined and professional.
