About James
I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with three degrees, a BS in Biomedical Engineering, and BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering. I finished with a 3.99/4.00 GPA for my undergrad and 4.00/4.00 in my graduate degree. I now work as a full-time engineer, but still enjoy teaching in my free time as it has always been a passion of mine.

I’ve been tutoring for just shy of a decade in a range of subjects, but my favorite subjects to teach are different physics courses within a high school or college engineering curriculum. I love to engage with students where they are now, build trust between us that we can succeed as a team, and build the tutoring structure and style around the student to ensure they know that their learning styles and needs are being respected.
In a typical lesson, I like to do a short review of topics from last time, then dive into theory and practice questions for the subject matter of the lesson asked for by the student/family, or my own plans for subjects if decided on previously.
I’m happy teaching physics anywhere from high school/AP level up through engineering students in Mechanical or Biomedical Curriculum.
