I have been a professional (PhD-level) research scientist in the field of molecular genetics for the past 8 years. During this time I have mentored over a dozen students and technicians in molecular biology techniques and theories, several of whom went on to win awards for their work.

My teaching method involves the use of analogies to assist with the framing and understanding of complex biological theories. This is best achieved through targeted conversation wherein I can develop an understanding of the student's background so as to better relate analogies for more comprehensive understanding.
