About Juan Pablo
I’m a New York-based English and writing tutor, professional filmmaker, and screenwriter with over ten years of experience helping students strengthen their essay writing, reading comprehension, and overall communication skills. My work as a writer has given me a deep appreciation for language, structure, and voice, and I bring that perspective into my teaching.
I help students with essay organization, reading analysis, grammar, revision, and written clarity, always tailoring lessons to their individual needs and goals. I’m an English and writing tutor based in New York, offering personalized lessons for students from 4th to 12th grade who want to improve their reading, writing, grammar, and confidence in communication.
I work with students on everything from school essays and reading comprehension to sentence clarity, structure, and creative writing. My approach is supportive, practical, and adapted to each student’s level, whether they need foundational help or want to refine more advanced writing skills.
In our sessions, I focus on helping students understand how writing works: how to organize ideas, build stronger arguments, write more clearly, and develop their own voice. I want students to leave each lesson not only with better work, but with more confidence in their ability to express themselves.
I offer help with essay planning, editing, grammar, reading response assignments, vocabulary, and creative writing projects. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel supported and challenged in the right ways.
