About Soma
I am a professional educator with a background in the field of biology including a Masters degree in Zoology and an Associate's degree in Biotechnology. I have been tutoring students in my community for over 15 years now in various subjects including Cognitive Abilities test prep, Advanced Math Placement test prep, and Mathematics and AP Biology enrichment classes. I've had a very high success rate of over 90% of students qualifying for the Gifted and Talented Examination (GATE) in California since 2008.
In my personal life, I'm a proud parent of 3 children with the eldest (son) working at NASA after completing Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, second (daughter) working as software engineer at Facebook after completing Computer Science from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and the youngest (son) studying Computer Science at UC Berkeley.
