About Martin
I take great pleasure in coaching high school students, college students, and non-traditional age students toward a superior grasp of English idiom, vocabulary, and sentence structure. I love the English language -- the lingua franca of Chaucer, Shakespeare, Dickens, Virginia Woolf, and James Joyce, as well as millions across the globe in the 21st century!

I have a B.A. degree in Classics from Yale University and a Ph.D. from Duke University. The lessons in reading, writing, and speaking English are for students of all ages, especially adults. I have three decades of experience teaching these subjects to college students at a private college (Ohio Wesleyan University).
