About Lesliee
I was what they called a "re-entry" student. I began college when I was 28 and earned 4 college degrees culminating in my Ph.D. in English from the University of California at Riverside. I taught for 30 years at the junior college and university level and retired as Professor Emeritus of Multicultural Pedagogy and American Literature. I love Teaching and Learning!

I teach the concept of Difference, itself, using examples from classical rhetoric and American literature 1620 to the present. We will always consider the proposition that cultural, ethnic, racial, economic, sexual, gendered, and differences related to (dis)abilities are not exceptions in the scope of humanity, they are the material reality of humanity. We will uncover the Difference in you that makes your writing and analysis of texts unique and valuable. Every lesson plan will be developed in collaboration. I am comfortable working at the college level and also have experience working at the high school level. I love teaching and learning at all levels!
