About Kyle
I have officially been an English teacher for almost 5 years. My work as an English teacher takes place in Spain, where I worked in a colegio (like an elementary school) and an instituto (secondary school), split between the two locations. I was in charge of creating presentations, games, quizzes, trivia, and other activities about various topics concerning U.S. culture, with the goal of sharpening the students' use and understanding of the English language.
I graduated top of my class with a Master's Degree in the teaching of the English language. I am also TEFL certified from TEFL.org, having taken and passed the 120-hour Premier Online Course. I currently have a cat, Oreo, who is 8 years old. I spend my spare time writing, playing video games, enjoying photography, and, yes, occasionally getting lost in social media.

Grammar is not number one for me. Teaching in Spain, I've found it to be a great error to focus primarily on grammar, as that leads to the situation where a student encounters a native speaker of the foreign language and freezes up and can't produce the language. That's to say, I try to put speaking first, while not forgetting the other competencies. I like to focus on first teaching what you're going to encounter in day-to-day life, practicing how to use the language in those situations, and then refining those skills with the more technical rules a little later. I have no problem adapting to how frequently my student wants corrections; I trust that you know how much you can handle in each class, so we can focus on the broad topic, or get into the specific details, as much as you like. I typically start a lesson with a short check-in about my students' day/week, see if there's anything they wanted to use during the week but didn't know; then, check in about the last lesson's content, do a quick review, before moving on to the day's lesson. I have experience teaching every age and level. My job was teaching students from the ages of 5-18, with all levels. I also taught adults from the ages of 25-57 with varying levels. I'm prepared to adapt to any level from Basic/A1 to Fluency/C2.

As a secondary school English teacher for nearly 40 years it is my pleasure to recommend Kyle as a very good teacher. He is serious and responsible, a teacher of extraordinary talent and dedication. He has a passion for teaching.
I worked with him for two years, I have first-hand experience with him in the classroom.
Students were motivated, classes were never boring. He kept the students interested and engaged.
I am confident everybody will be pleased with his abilities.
We'll miss him.
He is a very profesional person. All students enjoy having him in class. He prepares really good activities for them to learn the grammar and vocabulary in a ludic way. His lessons are dinamic and fun.
He is a hard-working personI have worked with Kyle for two years and it has been a great experience. He has always helped me and the other teachers in the department with the classes, proposing interesting and funny activities for the students and has also involved himself in many projects such as the "educative radio at school" or the school magazine.
He is patient with the students, understanding and commited and has always been willing to help. Our students loved him!
