About Freya
My passion for programming began during my M.Sc in Computer Science, where I realized the power of coding to solve complex problems creatively. Over the past eight years, I have taught learners at all levels, focusing on developing problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and independent coding abilities. I enjoy making programming accessible and engaging for every student. Throughout my teaching career, I guide learners from beginners to advanced levels, emphasizing understanding over memorization. Step-by-step explanations, practical exercises, and project-based learning allow students to gain confidence and mastery. Many students initially feel intimidated by programming, but I help them gradually develop competence, curiosity, and enthusiasm. Outside teaching, I explore emerging technologies, innovative coding methods, and real-world applications to enrich lessons. I integrate these experiences into teaching to provide learners with relevant, practical skills. My goal is to foster an empowering environment where students feel confident to learn, experiment, and excel in programming.

My programming lessons begin with the fundamentals of coding, including variables, loops, conditions, and basic functions. Beginners learn to write clean, structured code, debug effectively, and develop logical thinking. I incorporate hands-on exercises, interactive examples, and step-by-step guidance to help learners build confidence and practical skills while understanding the logic behind programming.
As students progress, lessons cover object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and small project development. I emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application of programming concepts. Learners work on coding exercises, debug programs, and create simple software solutions, strengthening their understanding of programming logic and analytical reasoning.
For advanced learners, lessons focus on software design principles, algorithm optimization, API integration, and multi-step project work. Students learn to plan, implement, and test larger coding projects while applying best practices. My aim is to empower learners to achieve technical mastery, confidence, and creativity in programming, preparing them for academic challenges, projects, and professional growth.
