About Lena
I am a computer programming tutor with 6 years of experience teaching school, college, and working professional students. I have successfully guided 200–250 learners in Java, C, SQL, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming. My teaching philosophy focuses on building strong foundations, encouraging creativity, and developing problem-solving skills. I believe in hands-on learning through exercises, projects, and real-world examples, helping students understand concepts clearly and apply them confidently.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students understand computer programming in a practical and creative way. I cover a wide range of topics including Java, C, C++, Python, SQL, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming. I also guide students through software development principles, problem-solving techniques, and debugging strategies.
I believe learning programming is best done through hands-on practice, so I design sessions with coding exercises, mini-projects, and real-life examples. I encourage students to experiment, make mistakes, and discover solutions independently while providing guidance when needed. This approach helps them build both confidence and competence in programming.
Accountability is central to my methodology. I ensure that students understand each concept thoroughly before moving forward. Creativity is encouraged in solving programming challenges, allowing students to develop their own approach to coding problems. Flexibility is key in my lessons, as I adapt to each student’s pace, learning style, and goals.
Empathy plays an important role in my teaching. I listen to student concerns, address doubts patiently, and create a supportive learning environment. I assist students with exam preparation, assignments, and job readiness, including interview practice and real-world coding projects.
My aim is to not just teach programming but to help students think like developers. I want them to develop problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and an understanding of best coding practices. Together, we explore programming concepts in depth, build strong foundations, and prepare students to excel academically and professionally in the field of computer programming.
