About George
Greetings! My name is George Jones, a guitar tutor with experience in teaching students of all ages and abilities in independent and SEN school settings.
I have been playing guitar for around 10 years, including electric, acoustic, classical, and bass guitar.
I studied for 3 years at Canterbury Christ Church University, achieving a First Class Honours in BA Commercial Music, and a Master of Music degree, tailored towards specialised music education and further support for autistic (ASC) learners.
I am deeply passionate about music education and committed to making learning accessible, engaging, and meaningful for every student of any age, neurotypical and neurodiverse.

I aim to provide students, beginners or advanced players on guitar or bass guitar, with adaptable, structured, and inclusive tuition that suits their individual preferred learning pace, desires, and additional needs.
My lessons can take place wherever the student prefers: Online, in Gravesend or surrounding local areas in Kent.
My time researching specialised ASC-friendly music education for my Master of Music degree has enabled me to utilise a vast range of appropriate teaching resources to create an accessible and comprehensive learning experience for students of all ages and abilities.
What we can cover in the lessons:
Techniques - Strumming, lead playing, or fingerstyle.
Skills - Improvising, counting rhythms, controlling dynamics, and songwriting.
Music theory - Reading music, the musical alphabet, and scales and chords.
Songs - Students can choose any song they want to learn, or I will also introduce unique songs that can teach students something new.
