4A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry A Level 11 9s at GCSE I am currently on a gap year, looking to study Mathematics at university starting 2025. Tutoring is a role I take seriously, with prior experience tutoring students of all ages (11+, GCSE maths and sciences, A Level Maths). Identifying and working on weaknesses, adapting a teaching scheme/plan to the specific student, and letting the student communicate with the teacher (and not just the other way round) are extremely important aspects of what I deem to be a good tutor. Arguably the most important is building a rapport and a friendship with the student, which is intrinsic to my tutoring style, as a student has to be comfortable with the teacher to be comfortable with the subject. This is a necessary approach for the success of students who are tutored, and I believe it is this stance that helped my students get into their first choice grammar schools, as well as achieve grades 7-9 in their GCSEs.
