About Oliver
Playing chess for over 11 years already, I can promise a passionate and evidential approach to the game for students new AND accustomed. How? By combining chess principles with a sports-psychology-edge.
I have played chess competitively at a provincial level and made it to the podium at a few club-level tournaments. Moreover, I maintain a keen interest in the game for its beauty, simplicity, and endless possibilities.
My Elo is around 1300-1500 FIDE and 1800-1900 online.

Lessons are structured in relation to the learning level and XP of the student, whether beginner, novice, or advanced. All students can expect to be similarly challenged to improve their strength and enjoy the feeling of mastery.
On top of this collaborative, insight-oriented approach, I also instil a systematic component. Typical lesson plans involve practice games, going over theory, and studying famous Grandmaster games. Additionally, learned skills around focus, energy, insight, time management, and resiliency help encourage a competition-ready student.
