About Christen Joy
Hi, I’m Christen Joy! I’m a Psychology graduate and Registered Psychometrician who enjoys helping students make sense of what they’re learning. I know that sometimes a lesson can be confusing even after reading it several times, so I’m here to help you talk through it, organize your thoughts, and understand it in a simpler way.
I’m patient, approachable, and open to questions. You don’t have to worry about getting everything right immediately—I believe learning is easier when you feel comfortable asking questions and discussing your ideas. I’ll do my best to make our sessions relaxed, practical, and suited to what you need.

Hi! I’m Christen Joy, a Psychology graduate and Registered Psychometrician. I offer study support for students who need someone to help them better understand their Psychology lessons and work through academic tasks.
My approach is more of a guided discussion rather than a traditional lecture. If you’re having a hard time understanding a topic from class, we can go through it together using simpler explanations and real-life examples. I can also help you break down assignments, understand what the question is asking, organize your ideas, and review your work while making sure the final answer remains your own.
A typical session depends on what you need. We can start by discussing what you learned in class, identify the parts you’re having difficulty with, and then work through those areas together. If you have an assignment, you can bring it to the session and we can break it down step-by-step.
What I want to offer is a comfortable space where you can ask questions without feeling embarrassed about not understanding something right away. I know that sometimes you don't need someone to simply give you the answer—you just need someone to help you make sense of it.
My lessons are best suited for Psychology students who need help reviewing lessons, understanding concepts, discussing class topics, or working through Psychology-related assignments and activities. I can also work with students who simply want an accountability partner while studying.
