About Alison
I am a psychology student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I have just three semesters left before I graduate. I tutored writing and english in high school for over 2 years and had around 20 students per year. I have had a lot of students come to me with improved grades, positive remarks from their teachers, and an improved overall knowledge of writing and english. Now that I am majoring in Psychology, I am extremely interested in helping students with a similar passion to mine.

I am an extremely patient teacher and I use my past experiences as a guide for how I teach now. The level at which I am comfortable teaching is high school and some early college level courses. I like to use hands-on techniques and real-world examples because I find it is much easier to relate a topic that is particularly difficult to something that is familiar in your world as you know it. I think in psychology, this method of teaching is useful because a lot of psych topics are theory-based and are not as easily conceptualized unless they are seen through a real-world view.

Rates apply to students at a high school level, there may be an up-charge for students at the collegiate level or high school students taking college level courses.
Cancellations must be done 2 hours prior to scheduled session or there will be a $10 charge for missed or cancelled session (this policy is subject to change if there is an emergency)
