About Maxwell
I’m Maxwell, and I bring both knowledge and passion to psychology tutoring. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a strong interest in understanding the mind, I focus on making complex ideas clear and practical. My teaching method is to simplify theory, connect it to real-life examples, and encourage students to think critically rather than just memorize information. A typical lesson starts with reviewing key concepts or assignments, then breaking them down step by step. As a tutor, I focus on making psychology both understandable and practical. My method is to break down complex theories into clear, simple steps, then connect them to real-world examples so students can truly grasp the meaning behind the concepts.
A typical lesson starts with reviewing the student’s goals or current material. From there, we go step by step through the topic—whether it’s behavior, cognition, development, or mental health—using discussion, examples, and practice questions. I end each session with a quick recap to reinforce learning.
What sets me apart is my background in psychology paired with a patient, supportive teaching style. I enjoy creating a comfortable space where students feel encouraged to ask questions and think critically, not just memorize facts.
