About Christine
I started tutoring Language Arts while in college to college students. I assisted the students on the basics of writing papers as well as enhancing their writing skills so that it included nuanced ideas as well as utilizing creatively selected terms. My career took me to teaching middle school language arts (grades 5-8) for many years where I was able to hone my skills over time. I loved teaching middle school and got a great deal of joy out of the job. My rapport with students from the beginning was excellent. I mostly enjoyed using obscure materials that met the curriculum. I also spent a lot of time in my career helping students bring up their standardized test scores which is critical to meeting the pupil's choices in classes for the coming years.

I graduated with high honors in Elementary Education and taught English for 10 years. My main focus was the middle school years and I utilized both modern and classic literature including Shakespeare, in which the children loved to work. In class, we also brought in modern music with quality lyrics in order to understand words and terms in a more critical fashion. Regarding standardized testing, my students maintained or excelled in their scores from the prior year.
