About Catherine
For over 20 years I was a Technical Writer for many high-tech companies. As a technical writer, I was tasked to train people through written documents and instructions. Five years ago I published my first novel. I generally write historic romance and mysteries. As an author, I have really honed my creative writing skills. As a result, I can help students write term paper, essays, or creative writing assignments. I tutor K-12th grade students in reading comprehension and writing. All of my students have exceeded their school's expectations in general testing and grades across all subjects. Reading comprehension and improved writing skills will help a student in more than just their English classes. It helps across the board! The best compliment I received from all my past students is the request by them (and their parents) to be their tutor the next school year.

I have an AA in liberal Arts and a BA in English Literature with a minor in Art. I also completed two years of study in Electrical Engineering. I love the written word and enjoy sharing that love with others. I teach both reading and writing in an interactive and (hopefully) fun way using a students own interests to supplement any required reading and to make the lessons more personal to the reader/writer. I believe that reading anything, no matter the subject, will improve overall comprehension and writing skills. So what would you like to read/learn more about? I want to know.
