About Asmaa
Currently advancing my PhD in cybersecurity at the University of Ottawa. My academic and professional journey in cybersecurity is marked by my role as an instructor for advanced Network Security courses and as Head Teaching Assistant for foundational cybersecurity subjects. My experience at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) was filled with groundbreaking work on cryptographic research. I also lead and facilitate at the University of Ottawa's CyberRange, where I am developing certification programs that integrate academic knowledge with industry requirements. My scholarly work and research are fueled by a passion for enhancing cybersecurity methodologies and practices.

As a math tutor with a background in Computer Science, I mainly focus on making math less intimidating and more engaging, ensuring you understand and enjoy learning. I follow a simple approach: I use hands-on learning and real examples to explain the theory behind each concept. I teach the basics first and then show how to use them in real situations:
Start with a Quick Review by looking at your level and where are you to meet your needs.
Learn New Concepts by introducing new math ideas with examples.
Practice Together by solving some problems together.
Try on Your Own: get to try some problems by yourself.
Wrap-Up and Questions: review what we learned and answer any questions.
I tailor each lesson to fit your way of learning. My goal is to make math not only easier but also enjoyable.
My lessons are for anyone who wants to get better at math. I teach students of all ages, whether you're in school or an adult wanting to learn more.
