Laura has been an exceptional English tutor for my son throughout both National 5 and Higher English. From the very beginning, she created a supportive and encouraging learning environment that immediately built confidence and reduced stress around exams and coursework.

Her knowledge of the curriculum is outstanding, but what really sets Laura apart is her ability to explain complex analysis, essay structure and critical reading techniques in a way that is clear, engaging and easy to understand. She tailored every lesson to my son’s individual strengths and areas for improvement, which resulted in a huge boost in both his confidence and overall performance.

Laura is patient, reliable, professional and genuinely invested in her students achieving their best. She consistently went above and beyond with preparation, feedback and encouragement, helping my son develop not only stronger English skills but also much greater self-belief.

I would highly recommend Laura to any parent or student looking for a high-quality English tutor for National 5 or Higher level. She is an outstanding tutor and a fantastic mentor, and we are incredibly grateful for the support and guidance she provided.

Laura tutored my daughter Katie for her Higher English exam, and I honestly couldn’t recommend her more highly. Katie has dyslexia and has always struggled with confidence in English, but Laura was incredibly patient, understanding, and supportive throughout.
She has a real ability to explain things in a way that makes sense, and she adapted her approach to suit Katie’s needs perfectly. Over time, I saw a huge change—not just in Katie’s understanding, but in her confidence and willingness to engage with the subject.
Laura made what had always felt difficult much more manageable, and Katie went into her exam feeling far more prepared and positive. I’m so grateful for the difference she made

Laura responded to my request in just 30 mins which was fantastic because my son needed support with a portfolio piece which had a deadline of just under a day . She went above and beyond to ensure it was submitted on time and that it represented his true ability. Laura was calm and thorough in her approach and clearly has a flair for teaching . I’m now going to book in for more sessions for my son before his Nat 5 exam in May. Thanks again Laura !!

Super helpful and patient when helping me to understand new concepts and difficult grammar rules! Thanks Laura!

Laura knows what she is talking about and will help you improve massively. I highly recommend her as she is friendly, patient and trustworthy.
