About Yasmine
I love teaching. My subject knowledge is a standout feature of my practice, built on over a decade as a working accountant combined with six years in the classroom and my role as a Pearson examiner. But knowledge alone isn't enough. What matters just as much to me is creating a safe learning environment where students feel they can ask anything.
Many students carry real anxiety around exams and around admitting what they don't understand. I make it my priority to remove that pressure, so learning becomes something you look forward to rather than something you fear. When students feel comfortable being honest about their gaps, that's when real progress happens.

My approach is exam-focused above all else — I want every lesson to move you closer to the marks examiners are actually looking for, not just general understanding of a topic. As a Pearson examiner myself, I know firsthand what separates a pass from a top grade, and I build that insight directly into how I teach. I bring topics to life using real-world scenarios and case studies drawn from my own career, so concepts don't stay abstract — you see exactly how they apply in practice.
Lessons typically run for 1 hour, giving enough time to properly work through a topic, practise exam-style questions, and address any gaps without losing focus.
I spent over 10 years working as an accountant before retraining as a teacher, a path I've now followed for 6 years. That combination means I teach with both deep technical subject knowledge and real commercial experience — and as an examiner, I can share exact exam techniques and common pitfalls that most tutors simply don't have access to. My students consistently get strong results because of this dual expertise.
I teach students aged 14 and up, covering everything from GCSE and A-Level, through to undergraduate level and professional accounting qualifications (AAT and CIMA), so I can support you at whatever stage you're at and even carry you through multiple stages if needed.
