About Preston
I am a qualified Chartered Accountant currently working at a Big 4 Accounting firm. I have 5 years of tutoring experience in the subject fields of accounting, maths and physics starting with private lessons when I was in high school. I believe that every individual has the potential to succeed; it is the duty of the educator to identify methods/techniques that enable the student to succeed. It is the pursuit of this method that I base my teaching strategy on. I always tell my clients, don't ask me about my overperformers, ask me about my underperforming students, for which I have so few.

My teaching method is purely interactive. My main focus at the end of each lesson is to ensure the student understands not only how and where to get marks, but more importantly, I focus intensively on understanding concepts at a deeper level. The first half of each lesson is dedicated to breaking down content into bite-sized pieces, making sure the learner understands the concepts by teaching in a way that is relatable and understandable to someone at that level. The next half of the lesson is dedicated to working through hand-picked examples that have been chosen specifically to test each problem area of each section. This portion of the lesson also includes working through the solutions and understanding how and where marks are given. I believe in no student left behind.
