About Bernard
I have 5-year experience classroom 5-year as a French Support Learner - Class Stage 3 at Morley College. This involved helping adult students to learn French; improving reading, writing & speaking skills; and consolidating grammar & vocabulary skills. In my role as ICT assistant tutor at City Lit and Nova New Opportunities project, I have taught students up to Level 3 for the period of 3 years. I am experienced using technology to enhance the learning experience within the classroom. Since 2015, I have been working as an online French and ICT freelancer Teacher. I have been teaching one to one private lessons and small group, in London.

My approach varies depending on the student’s needs and learning style. However, my teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to think for themselves, using real-world examples wherever possible. I start from topics the students are comfortable with and move gradually towards more complex areas as their confidence builds. I use questions and examples to check to understand continually.
