About Daisy
Hi, I’m Daisy – a qualified English teacher (QTS) with a degree in English Literature with Creative Writing. I’m passionate about helping students gain confidence and enjoy English, whether they’re developing foundational skills or preparing for important exams. I’ve taught in both primary and secondary settings and have experience working with a wide range of learners. I bring patience, creativity, and calm encouragement to every session, aiming to make learning feel accessible and empowering for each student.

My lessons are calm, student-led, and focused on building both skills and confidence. I always start by understanding each learner’s needs, goals, and learning style - and then tailor sessions to meet them where they’re at. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, and I use a mix of discussion, modelling, scaffolded practice, and real-life examples to make learning feel relevant and engaging. Whether we’re exploring a poem, planning an essay, or building vocabulary, I break things down into clear, manageable steps. I draw on my experience teaching in both primary and secondary schools, and I’ve worked with a wide range of learners - from pupils developing early skills to GCSE students preparing for exams. My approach is especially supportive for students who feel anxious, stuck, or unsure about English. I aim to create a positive learning environment where learners feel safe to ask questions, take risks, and develop their unique voice.
